Over more than 10 years ago the vision of my right eye started to rapidly worsen. A
control examination showed that a circulation disorder was given, which was also confirmed at the
university clinic. That this blood circulation problem had been actually already a macular degeneration I
didn't know at that time.
Seven years ago I was diagnosed with the grey star. Thus, my right eye was
undertaken an ambulant operation at which I was informed that due to the additional circulation disorder a
visible improvement wasn’t possible.
Two years later a post star was diagnosed which was treated with a laser. After this
treatment my vision worsened so much that black dots showed up and increased. My right eye was literally
not functioning anymore. Three years ago I was operated at my left eye (grey star).
By sheer luck I stumbled over the word „macular degeneration“ in the ZDF show „Health“. As
a guest, professor Dr. Augustin had explained the disease and made therapy suggestions. All in this show
mentioned symptoms I had been living through. My vision had been decreasing very much at that time. I told
my doctor about the above mentioned subject but her reaction was very negative and sceptical.
To the advise of my eye doctor I undertook various examinations from December 2000 until
February 2001 including an angiography in the university clinic Bonn. The doctors drew the following
conclusion: "Macular Degeneration. Neither medication nor an operation can change the present condition.
Complete blindness has to be expected within a short time."
Of course this diagnosis didn't give me much hope. It looked like I had to accept to be
dependant on others' help soon.
In May 2001 the WDR television show „Service Zeit Gesundheit“ reported about the treatment
according to Hancke In Cologne. At this time my vision was so bad that I couldn’t even cross the street
without help and it decreased even more on a daily basis.
I regarded alternative treatments very sceptical, because the statements of the doctors
were always the same. Nothing and nobody could help and moreover I am a realistic person. Cheap that
treatment wasn't exactly either, but I thought what use is money in a bank account when I cannot see
anymore. I had been happy if the decrease wouldn't had gone on so rapidly. A stand-still would have been
great. And if it hadn't helped I at least had known to have tried everything.
In this situation you clutch at a straw. I made an appointment with the practice Hancke
and soon got the feeling I may be right in doing this. Everything was different from what I knew from
other practices and the clinic. I was explained the way how they want to try to save my eye sight. I
listened to everything very carefully and understood I had a chance. Soon I trusted and decided to try the
treatment - I had nothing to loose.
My right eye, which had close to none vision anymore didn't react at all. I didn't expect
this after all this time. Although I admit I was surprised when Mrs. S. had told me that her bad eye from
under 1 % increased up to 20 %.
The vision of my left eye has drastically increased by the treatment. This is the
important eye, since it delivers the total sharpness I need for my daily routines. Already after few days
it slowly started to improve. Later I heard that most of the patients usually had to wait a bit longer
until they notice an improvement. Before the treatment it became worse daily. The visual power of my
better eye (left) was still 40 % in February 2001, in June, shortly before the treatment, only 19 %.
Now, after the treatment, the last check-up in September 2002 showed a full 100 %. Today I
can read the tiniest writing and I am overjoyed to have taken this step.
The therapeutic pair of glasses (thank God, looks like just any ordinary pair of glasses)
I continue to wear and in large intervals I go to checkups to get everything checked out.

I had four brain infarcts. Two of them affected my eyes. I'd been in a coma for 6 weeks (September
3, 1997). After I had woken I still could see normally but had lost my memory and didn't recognise my family. I had
laboriously to re-learn speaking and walking.
When I returned home the sight of the left eye deteriorated extremely. The clinic diagnosed an
infarct of the left eye. Still while the 6-day-treatment in the University clinic Heidelberg, the sight of the right
eye deteriorated also extremely. The treating doctors even said: "This cannot be".
My sight was measured left with 10 % and right with 20 - 30 % and I was prescribed "Marcumar". The
sight stabilised eventually to 20 % on the left and 40 % on the right. The Eye Clinic in Magdeburg told me if the
sight could be hold like this it would be very good, but didn't give me hope it would actually stay like that. In
the long term a deterioration would be rather possible.
As a result I underwent treatment in Cologne by Mr. Hancke. The treatment duration was 10 days
and already while being treated I felt a clear improvement of vision on the left eye although Mr. Hancke did only
measure the 20 % sight on the left eye. The 40 % of the right eye Mr. Hancke confirmed to me.
I have a feeling that the left eye varies because it has many holes. Nevertheless, I have the
subjective feeling my sight has doubled.
A measurement by an eye doctor resulted in 60 % for the right eye. Herr Hancke measured the first
time 92 %, the second time 86 %. The 40 % sight on the left eye was confirmed by an eye doctor.
Moreover I detected that not only my sight has improved but also my memory. Memories return better,
even events from childhood. Today I again do a lot of sports. As a passionate mountain climber I started with
Jogging and do gymnastics. I am a member in two sport clubs and would like to do all the things I could do before.
I am so enthusiastic about the therapy after Hancke that I even calculated how many needles (it were
480) I got during the 10-day-long treatment. You can even feel how the single nerve reacts to the stimuli when a
needle is placed.
When today I drive up north I always get an appointment for 3 applications, just because it is on
the way anyway.

It is a real need to write down the course of my eye disease "Macular Degeneration" and if possible
to make it public.
In 1995 I went to an eye doctor because of an eye infection. During this consultation the doctor
detected that my eyes got the disease "Macular Degeneration. This disease was completely unknown to me and thus I
couldn't imagine what it meant. The greater was the shock when I got this disease explained. The thought to suffer
an incurable eye disease was almost unbearable for me. Also the announcement of my eye doctor I wouldn't become
completely blind didn't do much to comfort me.
At first my sight was still okay but slowly but surely reading and writing became more laborious and
over time a problem. In various time intervals my eye doctor sent me to the eye clinic in Lucerne. But also there my
sight couldn't neither be improved nor the disease be stopped. In the following years there was a half-annual vision
control, almost every time with the report the sight of my eyes had deteriorated. Finally my sight was so bad I had
to sell my car in order not to endanger others or myself. This decision was a hard one to make because I have to
live with the consequences of a come through polio in my childhood. Now I was without a vehicle, wasn't able to
write and could only read with magnifying glass and glasses. Luckily I had great support from my family who time
after time helped to cope with this difficult situation.
I must thank an especially lucky coincidence that made me watch the TV show "Fliege" on channel
"ARD" in June 2000. After the show we requested Mr. Hancke's address and contacted him immediately. The reply was
very friendly, yet I was confronted with a waiting time of 6 months. This waiting time was inspired by the hope to
have finally found someone being able to help my sick eyes. Thus I travelled in company of my daughter from
Switzerland to Cologne in January 2001 to keep my appointment. The practice of Mr. Hancke welcomed me in a very
friendly manner. The first examination of the eyes showed that the right eye had a sight of 2,5 % and the left of 25
%. Although they didn't give me hope for improvement but explained to try to stop the deterioration and any else
would be an additional gift, I decided to undergo the 10-day-long acupuncture therapy. Already after one week, thus
still in Cologne, I discovered during dinner at a restaurant that I was able to read the menu without magnifying
glass, only with the glasses.
Returnd to Switzerland I discovered I could again do various works, which were not
possible before the treatment. Additionally I again and again discovered that everything around me was much
brighter. The grey mist and also the flicker in the eyes were gone.
On March 20 I went again to Cologne for post-treatment. The new measurement showed that
my treatment at Mr. Hancke had been a full success. On the right eye I have now a vision of 10 %, the left eye has
90 %. This enormous success I have to thank for only the acupuncture treatment by Mr. Juergen Hancke. My quality of
life has been risen manifold and the world shows itself in a new light. Right now I lack the fitting words to show
my joy and gratitude about the re-won vision. I only want to tell all people: Give Mr. Hancke a try. Even if nothing
can be promised, everything is done to help your sick eyes.

Experience Report from Mrs. Z. Brueck: Macular Degeneration
I went to an eye doctor because my vision became more and more foggy and worsened. A
retina degeneration was diagnosed as well as a hole in the macular (macular foramen). I was put under
extreme psychological stress by this diagnoses. It was very unpleasant and I was worried. I got
transferred to a clinic to undertake a risky operation. I didn't go.
Since I heard many good things about Mr. Hancke and also have friends who got successfully
treated by him, I made an appointment. The examination showed a visual power of only 6.3 % on the right
and 83 % on the left. Herr Hancke didn't make any promises, but saw a certain chance to save my eyes.
The treatment was a full success. I felt extremely well by the pleasant care in the
practice. The right eye climbed from 6.3 % up to 35 % and the left from 83 % up to 96 %. The zigzag lines
were completely gone and I noticed I could plainly see better, especially with the right eye, what I even
could use on its own again.
Lucky for me I adopted this method.

Experience Report from Mrs. A. Sackers:
Macular Degeneration
A couple of years ago I fell ill with a wet retinal degeneration. After a thorough
examination at an eye doctor and in the clinic I was told I couldn't be helped and that I should expect my
visual power to decrease gradually. This news was a shock for me.
Finally I had difficulties with reading and writing and otherwise I noticed how my visual
power decreased more and more. With a magnifying glass I was able to help myself to some extent.
In 1999 I heard that above mentioned practitioner had a practice in Cologne and among
others treated retinal diseases.
I went to undergo his treatment and after 10 treatment days my visual power increased from
47 % to 68 %, supported by a special pair of glasses.
Several times in the year the condition of the visual power is controlled by specialists.
Today I can read without magnifying glass, write and see the entire world around me. I am
81 years old and I think it is important that people suffering from this disease are informed that they
can be helped by Mr. Hancke.
To judge the full waiting room Mr. Hancke must have a big number of satisfied patients.

Experience Report about Mrs. Gerstner: Macular
Degeneration
In March 1998 it was noted at a 3-year routine examination at the office, that something was not right
with the eyes of my wife. She hadn’t noticed anything herself, although she works intensively with the
computer. Since my wife works as an assistant in a clinic she went directly to doctors, who advised her to
consult a recommended good eye doctor.
The eye doctor diagnosed “Macular Degeneration” on both eyes whereas at the right eye even a hole was
detected in the macula. He couldn’t do anything and at present there wasn’t anything known to be done. She
should come once a year for a control examination and she should hope the disease would stop its course on
its own. At this examination vision acuity of only 100 % was measured at the good eye. The bad eye had
only 20 % left.
She took the diagnoses calmly because she still was able to see accordingly, since the good eye
compensated for the bad eye. A test with blocking the healthy eye to read the videotext off the television
screen showed that everything was distorted and even some letters couldn’t be seen at all. I also feared
for the good eye since the disease would move on further or later. The prognosis was bad. This I wasn't
ready to accept. By accident I saw in the summer of 2000 the TV show “Fliege” in which a practitioner
talked about this disease and introduced an alternative therapy. Although I was very sceptic, “I didn’t
believe in such things”, my wife said, if he had helped the lady from the television why not me”. Even the
eye doctor said if no eye doctor could help why should a practitioner be able to do so.
Only a few days later, still in therapy, my wife told me she believed to see better. She was able to read
the license plate over there. I still thought the mind was only playing tricks.
On May 3, 2001 the first post examination took place. The bad eye had improved from 20% to 64%. Already
in the meantime I had thought up new tests for my wife, to see how her vision had improved.
In March 2002 a vision of 93 % was measured at a control examination. I was overjoyed. My wife doesn't
have any problems with her former bad eye anymore.
On April 12, 2002 a vision of 96% was measured on the bad eye. The good eye had improved from 100 % to
120 %.
Today I joke: Because the good eye also has improved there is still an imbalance. The good eye must stop
now in order for the bad eye to keep up.
Fortunately the eye doctor wasn’t right and my wife's vision could be saved and even could be improved
substantially.

Because my at that time 5-year old grandson Werner could see worse and worse I went to see
an eye doctor on October 9 1999. The doctor transferred us to a clinic. On June 16th, 2000 Werner was
undertaken an eye mirroring, which unfortunately caused a bleeding in the eye. As diagnosis a heavy form
of retina damage was made. On the right eye Werner was almost blind. He ran against all impossible things
on the right side. Werner could only see the fingers of his own hand when held directly in front of his
right eye. A conventional treatment of the retina damage was impossible. The eye doctor talked of an only
50% chance the measured vision would stay like this. Upon this no further examinations were scheduled.
Thereafter, the vision deteriorated very quickly afterwards. The entire family was in great concern how
Werner would cope, if he wouldn't be able to see anything soon.
By accident I saw on the German TV show “Fliege” a report about the success of an
alternative eye specialist from Cologne. I organized his phone number via the programming department and
called the therapist. After a brief description of the diagnosis made by the clinic, an appointment was
set up in the practice, followed by a special acupuncture therapy. This therapy is worldwide unique.
6 months after the therapy a control examination took place at which a substantial
improvement of Werner’s vision was diagnosed. The entire family took a breather and had new hope.
After further 6 months a new check-up showed further improvement. The treatment surpassed
the expectation of the family. They would have already been lucky, if further deterioration of this
terrible disease had been prevented.
The result: On the almost blind right eye Werner has today a vision of 86 %, the left eye
improved from 40 % to 80 %.
The family as well as the Kindergarten teacher gladly observed Werner’s vision
improvement.
I can only say: “This is a great success of alternative medicine. The more marvellous you
have to measure this result, because the general acknowledged conventional medicine couldn’t offer
anything like this.”

Experience Report from Mrs. A. Rick: Macular
Degeneration
Ca. 1993 I was told by my eye doctor I had macular degeneration, which was untreatable and
an improvement or healing was ruled out. He told me that this disease wouldn't lead to total blindness,
since one could still distinct colours. What a weak comfort.
On March 1st, 1999 I visited for the first time the practice of Mr. Juergen Hancke and by
his acupuncture the visual power of my eyes improved from
1.4 % to 12.5 % right eye
0.3 % to 3.0 % left eye
Moreover, by his acupuncture my high blood pressure on which I had been suffering ever
since a doctor didn't diagnosed a meningitis in 1984 was also treated successfully.
It wouldn't had come to a heart-aneurysm of the aorta if the doctors would have been able to control my
high blood pressure.
I am enthusiastic about his treatment method and can only say: "Go, Mr. Hancke".
Besides, it would be welcomed if doctors and health insurances finally realize if the
conventional medicine cannot help anymore that there is alternative medicine and would work with instead
against practitioners.
I wish all who protest against Mr. Hancke that they themselves or their
family/relatives/friends see the predicament of conventional medicine failing and would be glad to know a
practitioner being able to help them then.

In April 2001 an eye doctor diagnosed a heightened eye pressure (26/24). According to our
family history (Grandfather + Mother Glaucoma) he advised to get my eyes checked out every three months
and did further tests, such as a day profile and a field of vision test. Everything was still okay but
he told me that I would get a glaucoma with a 99 % chance, which would be well treatable. The to be used
eye drops I, however, had to take all my life and they weren't side effect free up to an eventual asthma.
"Great outlook," I told myself and instantly had the wish to try alternative methods. At a
doctor for conventional medicine and naturopathy I underwent an acupuncture. After that diagnoses from an
eye doctor: 26/24 (May 10th, 2002).
On June 7th the day profile was done, whereas early in the morning at 8 am on both sides
18, at 12 pm on both sides 20 and at 3 pm 22/22 was measured. A little the acupuncture did bring - a
standing of 24/26 I didn't reach. (From a pressure of 26 most of the eye doctors recommend a treatment
with eye drops).
In the meantime I noticed my eyes starting to show signs of dryness, meaning they always
felt irritated. The eye doctor prescribed the appropriate eye drops, which didn't help. The irritation
became worse.
As a result the doctor prescribed antibiotic drops (Kanamyein), which I should take over
the period of three weeks. These also didn't help. Even two more sorts of antibiotic drops were prescribed
(also against allergies), although I didn't think it was an allergy. In the meantime the complaints had
become substantially worse. I had attacks of sudden burning/itching/watering - a few times per day. I mad
an appointment with the university eye clinic in Cologne, where I was told (after the appropriate tests),
it could only be an Adeno virus, which is not treatable and had to go on its own. But this wasn't the
case. It became worse and worse and I didn't dare to drive a car anymore.
Again I went to acupuncturist (practitioner), to strengthen my immune system - no
improvement.
Then I read in the magazine "Prisma" the report from Dr. S. and made an appointment with
the practice Hancke (April 10th, 2002).
Over the period of 3 days 4 times each per day acupuncture needles are put in the
forehead. On the third day after the treatment all symptoms of the virus were gone. I was enthusiastic.
On June 25th, 2002 a further eye doctor (I changed the doctor) measured at 11.30 am an eye
pressure on both eyes of 18. This isn't worrying - further pressure measurement would be due only in half
a year.
Thus I can confirm that the treatment by Mr. Hancke was substantially successful and also
confirm that in cases of heightened eye pressure (glaucoma) such an acupuncture makes sense.

It was the most horrible time of my life - until the success which I owe to the optician
and practitioner Juergen Hancke
Over years I lived alone as widow, the children out of the house, so that I had to care
for my mother on my own. After her death I became myself a nursing case - dried up slipped disc and due to
the long lasting pain into the foot it got displaced. On October 10th, 1999 I was taken to the hospital
and including the waiting time until the operation back home in December 1999. After that rehabilitation
for 4 weeks.
During that time I had to postpone my check-up appointments at my eye doctor all the time.
Then I was diagnosed circulatory disturbance in the eye, what I didn't consider as bad, since I was
prescribed eye drops. When I returned after 9 weeks to a further check-up, the doctor evaded my questions
which puzzled me. I asked him, what was up because at that time I had difficulty with my vision. Then he
dropped: "You must be operated. You have a big hole in your retina." I was shocked. It was only
circulatory disturbance? As if it was enough that the operation appointment with May 15th was too far away
for me, my visual power decreased so drastically that I wasn't even able to read the number 9, 10, 11 and
12 on a plate-sized clock. I wasn't able to see the eyes of my grandchild on an enlarged photograph lying
on the table and her face was like being behind a veil. When I looked with that eye to the neighbouring
house there was a big triangle in the window just like if was cut out.
The lawn mower mangled two of my finger tips because I wasn't able to estimate the
distance of the aperture to the right. I lived in constant fear.
After the operation of the right eye I hadn't known for 8 weeks whether the surgery went
well or not. On a number board I was only able to see the 6 as the last number of the row. It didn't
improve. My treating eye doctors let me know that I suffered from macular deformation and that there
wasn't any treatment at that time. But they were willing to listen to me in case a further deterioration
took place. Was this now comfort?
Per chance I saw a TV show with a patient of Mr. Hancke and organized his phone number. I
instantly made an appointment since the waiting period was quite long. I didn't take the waiting easily
because further to the deterioration of the right eye disruptive fields (several small dots) in the left
eye showed up. My eye doctor told me that my left eye had stage 1 and thus the same could happen what
already had been happening with my right eye. Due to the scar I received from the operation, letters are
missing when I read. I didn't want to suffer the same once more.
Finally the day had come - the examination appointment with Mr. Hancke. I had great hope
that the disease could at least be stopped. The more I was surprised when in the second week, still during
the treatment, when I looked at my watch I was able to see the hands without glasses. That wasn't possible
before. Overjoyed I cried at the post-examination where I was told how much my visual power had increased.
Today I see again 100 % on both eyes.
Additionally I would like to say something about my disability. During my treatment I told
Mr. Hancke that I was suffering from great pain in the area of the lumbar vertebrae as well as in the foot
and it was generally difficult for me to master great distances. He offered to relieve me and put his
hands on my joints and hips. I had the feeling as if my entire body would vibrate which lasted about half
an hour. A miracle happened, my pain was blown away and it stayed that way for a long time.
I am immensely grateful towards Mr. Hancke, also towards his employees, who always
welcomed me heartily and showed consideration towards my walking disability (I walked on two crutches).
